Here again to do another of those it's-December-31st posts!

What i've gotten the most out from the year was learning to be contented with what you have. it isn't easy, but discipline does it. in the end you'll find you're just as fine without them. I think i said this last year.. but i'd repeat it till it reaches a hypnopaedic level such that i might just chant it in my sleep. Remember: repetitions make truths.

Ok i'd leave the emo stuff to Gary-likes.

There's no lack of faith in the people i believe in; this time we'd make all the right decisions. I got this sudden urge to grow my fingernail really long so i can slash people's faces when i'm feeling bitchy. & I need to search the world for my new favourite colour because I cannot have the same favourite colour for two years running hahaha I'm feeling crazy.

Regarding resolutions I really have nothing much in mind: maybe i'd do the usual WORLD PEACE! and let's see.. lots of cash $$ and As for my A's.

I am another 158 days closer to my Eighteenth! :D Yes i am always prematurely eager to do the countdown to my birthday when everyone is screaming their ass off for the 2009 countdown.

'09 seems to promise a better year albeit the much anticipated darn fight for my A's, so fingers, legs and eyes crossed,

HAPPY '09!

HAPPY SQUAD DAY!

My squad, and everything I will remember about them. Deep down we know there will always be this bond tying us together, no matter how dilute our relationship. The strength of our squad will always be the strength of our last man.

I intended for this post to be beautiful, because even as I scroll through my pictures, choosing photos for this post, i remember how we fought through 4 years together, at first not much a squad, but finally emerging an impressive group of instructors. The tears came, no surprise.

But this post isn't gonna be beautiful, because everyone of you is the same - straight out of a cookie cutter.

Shit happens. About people who don't understand. About people who choose to remind you about things you'd rather not remember.

About people who don't understand.
About people who don't understand.
About people who don't understand.

So why bother to explain?

June is so high! AWWWWWWWWWW jump jump jump *screams!

turns out his highlights are much, much more impressive than mine. Even his fringe is like, longer than mine.

his brain functions at 1metre/hour. It took him super long to find out I was pointing the holy middle, after which he proceeded to strangle me.

Am super lazy to upload the rest of the photos.

Meeting up with him again was almost like he never left, just haven't seen him in a long, long time. Still the same 'ld him, with the horrible vocals and all. :D Last year during class he'd always croon those jay chou songs! (and i'd be cringing while i sit behind) He totally didn't need the microphone to amplify his voice, and when i sang together with him i couldn't hear myself at all. Fantastic..

XO!

Looking so innocent, I might believe you if I didn't know
And now you're asking me to listen cause its worked each time before
I told you so

i am lo and behold- inspired to run the standard chartered (half)marathon next year.

it sounds crazy when i've never even participated in any nike run/anlene's women run, whatever. I'm not even sure if i can run 5km without dying first.. but let's just say i'm hoping i get disciplined enough to train up next year for the half marathon at least.

this is surprising, considering a sunday ago I wanted to kill all the standard chartered particpants because all the roads (mountbatten, fort road) were sealed off to serve as the tracks for the runners, and resulted me walking from old airport road to singapore swimming club lugging a 10+ kg load. The weather didn't pity me either & I DON'T CARE IF THE MARATHONERS HAD IT WORSE THAN ME! I wanted to take my bowling ball to whack them in the legs so they'd all drop dead (it'd make fantastic headlines! Standard Chartered Runners attacked by chio bowling ball :D)

but zomg, even a half marathon is like, 21++ km..

let's just treat this as a very good dream. AH :D

Because I am extremely tired of staring at Handmaid's Tale, drafting my essay(s) and thinking about what I can possibly come up with as good points for my essay,

I SHALL NOT HAND IT IN TOMM.

I am the best. :D

A very long post ahead:

Arrived in Simpang Pulai 5am in the morning! Bobo was barking his life away because he didn't know who we were so we couldn't sleep -.- stupid bobo.

That's bobo (chacha). He really loves tennis balls! If you start playing with him he'd be damn excited but he's so irritating once he gets the ball he will hide under the car so we can't snatch the ball away from him. But he's a very affectionate dog lah very cute :D

On sunday afternoon we headed over to the groom's house to await the groom to fetch the bride back & to have lunch as well. Picture on the right below is them serving my parents tea. Being a kid/single is damn good we get to queue up for angbaos HAHA that's the only thing I was waiting for!

At night we had the wedding dinner: a very sumptuous 9 course one at that. Super good food especially the sharksfin soup my favv. It's also very good to sit with adults cause they let kids take the food first and they never fight for food (i secretly think they want to fight one lor! i mean the food is impossible to resist) so there will usually be a lot of food for the kids to fight themselves. Anyhow, really good food! My stomach ballooned to almost twice the size :D ):

My uncle's-son's-daughter! SUPER CUTE she's like only 6 months i think.

the usual: first with yeemei (cousin) don't be fooled she looks very sweet right but she's not! She's damn talkative, quite chor lor and everybody in school calls her "busybody mei". When she told me that she was still very proud somemore wakaka very funny.

mummy!

stupid brother. what chee bong pose is that?!

okay so the above was like, one wedding dinner. then the very next night, we had another wedding dinner! This time is my yeye's brother's son getting married. Don't have a lot of link but cmon tell me free food (& more imptly good ones) and i'd be there so how could I miss it?! Seriously the amount of food I ate in m'sia is so crazy I suspect i gained 5pounds. That's 10kg. HAHA.

This wedding compared with the previous night's was a lot more grand with a professional emcee and around 10 singers, mostly professional. This is only like, one quarter of the room. At least 50 tables here.

The bridal family & friends doing yumseng!

A few mornings after we headed to this fabulous dimsum place to have breakfast. This place is simple, no frills, no air con but it is damn crowded every morning without fail because the food there is super super awesome & their service is great too. Definetely comparable to first grade restaurants.

I ate so much good food in Ipoh I sort of lost count. There was this night we headed to eat 芽菜鸡. Its actually just a plate of chicken, another plate of beansprouts which comes with a bowl of hor fun (yes the famous ipoh one!) it sounds like such a simple meal but their beansprouts are the juicest i've ever eaten, and they're chicken is so tender i feel like i'd never get tired of it. Needless to say the horfun is the nicest! It glides down your throat like how a TEFAL iron glides on clothes. ( 'cause i just saw the advertisement! you know the one where te girl is in the gym & she's ironing her ass off?!)

After a week in Ipoh: KL!

I tell you even the sky in Malaysia looks bigger than Singapore's. & they've got the prettiest clouds.

Upon arrival that night we went to sunway pyramid straight! It's egyptian themed and roughly twice the size of vivocity. Which you can imagine.. is pretty darn big. It lights up damn nicely at night.

The interior roof

Friendster cafe. Quite stupid, but i found it amusing. It's almost as if you can go there and start adding ahlians and bengs as friends.

With cousins!

Next morning: dimsum breakfast again, but this time not as good as Ipoh's. still love dimsum breakkies though.

Yeemei again!

And then off to Mid-Valley mall! -.- There are countless malls in KL. ALL DAMN BIG. I think they're scared nobody know Malaysia is very big. But that mall has nothing much..

So when we went shopping on tuesday it's at pyramid again :D

I'm damn lazy to caption already..

I tell you m'sians are bad photographers! We ask people to help us take and all the photos came out shaky and blur. Maybe they're just jealous we're photogenic WAHAHA.

Fiona is secretly in love with me she keep sneaking photos (i happen to pose)! TSK.

A lot of lame photos from this onward.

The levis guy so hot i wanted to kiss him..

but she wanted to slap him. -.- HAI

GASP! Scandalous. I took a photo of me unbuttoning my skirt after that HAHAHA. But post here later you all nosebleed so better not la hahahahhahahahahahhahaha OMG i'm so funny.

I LOVE APPLE! so i eat.

I love Indians too! So i pose.

End of shopping. Damn exhausted.

I am a good ghost.

I will miss you Malaysia! (& fiona's malfunctioning aircon)
