Going forward.

Work has slowly been piling up with the frantic preps for the hp exhibit. Meetings, errands, projects... Me time has taken a backseat, so has my usual daily dosages of dramas and tumblr/media stalking. The thing I love about working is lunches and dinner, it's such a great thing because I get a chance to catch up with everyone.

One more week into the opening of the hp exhibit and I'm so stoked! Cant wait.
I don't have time for this

My charger has revived itself. Apt timing, as did two conversations I wasn't expecting. It has been a night with one emotion weaved into another, overlapping, biting, curled up into a tight ball of mayhem threatening to cripple me. Who was I to think that if I tried hard enough, I could slide gracefully into the gaps of what you once had. I forgot it would reduce me to a shadow in the process. That maybe if I could distract you with the little I have, it could make you forget just how wonderful and intimate the past was. Ditch the rose tinted glasses.

I have already stopped trying. Maybe you should too.

I've been meaning to blog but my MacBook charger has died. And until I decide to part with a painful $100 for a new one, my blogging efforts will be reluctantly done through a sub par iphone application.

Anyway, the first week of internship has ended! Only 9 more weeks to go.. This internship is honestly too short :( This past week involved a lot of learning the ropes of how things work at the museum, familiarizing myself with the current Andy Warhol exhibit and helping Sue and the rest of the museum team in gearing up for the Harry Potter exhibition. I'm really excited about it and needless to say it will be a great success!

There's actually a lot of friends who asked for more details regarding the exhibit so here's some. The tickets are already available for sale on the marina bay sands website or at box offices on property, so basically you can buy tickets in advance, especially if you intend to visit the exhibit within the first few days because the crowd will obviously be crazy. Ticket prices are listed very clearly on the website, and prices differ for locals and tourists.

Another important thing we're doing with the exhibit is that entry this time is timed by the hour. Meaning when you purchase tickets from the website or box office, you get to select the date and time of entry. For example, 2-3pm, 3-4pm etc. A fixed amount of tickets are available for each period to facilitate crowds. Once you buy the ticket for a specific time, you can only enter the exhibit during the stipulated hour. Late entries will be entertained depending on the crowd. That said, you are free to stay in the exhibit for as long as you like.

Some interactive elements to look forward to in the exhibit include throwing a quaffle into a hoop a la quidditch, pulling a mandrake from its pot, and getting sorted by the sorting hat. Can I please encourage all of you to volunteer for the sorting hat?! It's so exciting wth hahaha and only one or two volunteers get sorted for each group. The docents conducting the sorting and welcome speech are the people we auditioned (that I mentioned on twitter!). They have been also approved by Warner Brothers (who owns Harry Potter), so I can't wait to see them in action :D

There will also be hp merchandise you can purchase at the end of the exhibition - another highlight!! Some items are chocolate frogs, wands, Harry's eyeglasses, house scarves and many more. I'm not sure if all these will be in sg's exhibit but I'm pretty sure they will.

At risk of divulging too much information, I shall end the teaser here. I believe most of you are already planning to visit anyway! FYI the exhibit runs from 2 June to 30 Sep and opening hours of ArtScience Museum are 10am-10pm daily, last entry 9pm.

Hit me up if you guys are visiting! :D

The shame engulfs me like a red hot fire, tearing away my skin and leaving me at my most vulnerable. These moments when I decide to give it all away. I cringe and cower, but at least I'm there.

Sometimes its worth it, sometimes its not. This time it wasn't, but it also made me realize I didn't care as much as I thought I did. I amaze myself, hahaha. You can't touch me.

Release
Wednesday, May 02, 2012

This post is four years late.

I am so happy. So so happy. This is amazing, this feeling of release and freedom and getting everything off my chest. Prior to this our memory was a messy, tangled mess. Too many knots that I have tried to unravel myself but failed. And then last night, with every word you said, the knots just.. disappeared. You have no idea how much this means to me.

Thank you.
