I never really believed in buying nail polishes, especially the more expensive ones like OPI cause I always preferred getting my nails done by others since they do such a better job at the shaping and won't end up with disastrous and awfully thick layers of polish (esp when I paint my left hand with my right, the horrors). But now, my thinking has changed. I could say its because I think its an investment afterall, I buy OPI for $18 bucks and get to do 10 manicures with that bottle, so its much cheaper that getting my nails done, or I could just say.. Because I fell in love with the some of the colours and so they need to be mine. :D



OPI's suede collection was a fall 09 collection, has been out for a long while and I have also tried it on, but never found it to be immensely attractive (till now, hahaha). Its an extension of the matte collection, comprising 6 of the most popular shades OPI has. I've googled for a lot of swatches online and decided to get You Don't Know Jacques! (awesome original taupe shade), and Suzi Skis in the Pyreness (suede grey). Lincoln Park After Dark is such a JM colour haha. Swatches below have the original shade on the middle nail.




Gorgeous, no?? And so different from generic polishes. So glad I bought them, now waiting for them to arrive! :D

If you are bored, I will bore you further. OPI has this ginormously 1000x more awesome colour, Black Shatter, that's off the new Katy Perry collection.



I've seen the bottle many times when I get my nails done, but I did not know the awesomeness of it. Looks like normal black polish right? NOOO. Its sposed to be painted over a base colour, and looks like this after application:



BAZINGA! (sheldon tribute) AWESOME!?!??!! Looks like some leopard print thing right! I like it best over the pinkie finger, which is Bring on the Bling from OPI if I'm not wrong. I want to buy!! If I do, it also means I must get some glittery polish too to act as the base. From what I knw black shatter is sold out in a lot of places! AHH should I get?!

Benefit also has a new 3D blusher, Bella Bamba. Some reviews have called it the pink version of NARS orgasm, which sounds so incredibly good. Who can resist?? A pity I am not a fan of benefit's box blushers. The packaging is tacky and there's always too much excess powder running around in the box. And if you're paying $50-$60 for a blush, you'd think they offer better packaging than in a cardboard box. MAC blushes are so much better!


The watermelon pink looks really good though.. :( omg no.

Edit: I just went back to dhs today to get my grad cert. God do I miss that place! Very lucky cause I bumped into Mr Ong outside the staff room speaking to another student, then went to find Mr Koh and had a chat in the staff pantry (he's SO gossipy hahaha I love him) and then when we came out of the pantry I saw Mr Leong (taking Mrs Bok's table no less) cause he's back for a few days for course. Loved talking to all the teachers again. Mr Koh showed me pictures of Asher OMG DAMN CUTE I think he's cuter than Miss Ng's Caden now hahaha. I asked him why don't he upload all on facebook cause he has truckloads of pictures of his son on his phone and we can go gaga over them, and he told me he doesn't have facebook. EPIC!! I kept telling him to get one and in the end when I left he said maybe he'd really do it, but he has no profile picture. I told him just use his son's picture, so much cuter than him HAHAHA. And I made the horrible mistake of saying I will organize a dinner, so it has to go on my to-do list now.

Anyway I just got Threadless's newsletter and sigh I want more of their shirts! Waiting for my first batch to arrive (anxiously) so I can see if the sizing is okay before I go ahead with the second batch. Anyone wants to order together to share shipping? :D I want these two!

I feel my eyes are so tired, they're on the brink of vaporizing. I have this weird habit of not wearing my glasses even after I remove my contacts so I end up squinting at everything. Ah.

My room has reverted to its post-cny mode aka messy mode and I feel so grumpy all the time cause its so messy but I can't move my lazy bum to make everything swell again. My clothes are all over the place and times like these I'm wondering where the shit is my walk-in wardrobe with all my clothes sorted according to colours and types?? I so insist my own home have one, however small and dingy it might be.

Okay since I'm on the topic of bedrooms I shall go ahead and bore you with what my future room will be like?

Must be carpeted, the furry kind I can curl my toes around the wool. Super duper important. I refuse hard floors. I must feel like the floor is so comfy and soft, I'm sinking into the depths of it with every step. In the event I am not rich enough to hire a maid to vacuum for me, the least I'm willing to settle for are wood paneled floors. I don't like tiles. Tiles should only appear in kitchens and bathrooms.  The carpet must be dark coloured, so clumsy people like me can get away with stains.

A complete bedroom set. Dresser, wardrobe, bed, table, yada. I like vintage mirrors with my dresser. My makeup must be classfied according to type, and my skincare products are neatly lined according to height on my dresser. I will have pull out drawers for jewellery resting on velvet. My earrings sorted into studs and dangling types. My necklaces sorted by occasions. My walk in wardrobe with no shoes, clothes sorted by type and then colour. I don't like plastic hangers, I like wooden ones.

A specific corner of the room, any corner, which is stuffed with the fluffiest softest cushions so I can literally head dive into it when I'm in the mood and roll around in the cushions. I want royal purple cushions!

Omg, the cushions seriously excite me. Moving on.. A flat screen tv directly opposite my bed. Analogue alarm clocks on my bedside table, not digital. A one stop charging dock for my camera, phone, ipod, and laptop. Heavy curtains that block out all the light. Wonderful night lights, like in a hotel. A couch in another corner of the room for me to chill. A photo wall, maybe, but photos must be framed.

I could continue, but its 3AM and my eyes are really bidding adieu. This does not end here!! :(
Woohoo! 3AM in the morning and being nocturnal as always, I just finished rehearsing for my presentation tommorrow. The feeling of going through my part in the slides over and over again is awesome. (I am nuts)

There's a lot of readings to finish and I am slightly behind :( Must catch up over the weekends! Whoever said uni/nbs is slack ought to be killed.

Had my first biz law tut today. Loved it. So good! I am so envious of all the law kids now.. I also want to spend all day finding loopholes and discuss ambiguity in statements and ratios. Working with language and people, (y). Working with numbers and formulas, _|_

I finished watching The King's Speech today using the train ride to and from sch HAHAHA I manage time so well. Anyway, good good movie! Colin Firth portrays a stutterer with such amazing genuinity. I thought his wife (Queen Elizabeth) looked soo familiar so I wikied her and ZOMG she is also harry potter's Bellatrix Lestrange and also Red Queen from alice in wonderland! So damn versatile.

Ordered a handful of shirts from Threadless and my order has been shipped! So exciting I can't wait to get them! A little worried the shirts will be too big cause I got them in L. Don't like small small tight tight shirts. And they say it will shrink after washing so..

Ah, I am rambling. And I just made you read a lot of ramble hehe. You're awesome!
