Photopost from the Titanic press conference. It was a success, which was so gratifying since we put so much effort into planning the entire thing, down to the media tags, event flow, food, gifts, registration etc etc. Made coming back to work on Deepavali worth it. And when we saw news of this reported on Ch 8, 5, and U news, it made it ALL even more worth it. We got plenty of coverage on websites too, and an extraordinary feature on Channel News Asia's AM Live show. When in comms, you can only hope for so much. It was awesome. Kudos to Damien, Sarina, Minn and Ross for holding the fort and leading the team. We ought to have a celebration some time.

Titanic tags for the media! I almost went cross-eyed preparing this.

Press all gathering for the start of the conference with a tour of the exhibit! Missed the champagne served here cause I was so busy with registration but we all got a bottle of the wine thereafter :)

Pretty pretty el dressed up as a first-class passenger. We were sposed to get costumes from MediaCorp but eventually couldn't due to time constraints - but we made do and it was awesome. Loved this idea (put forth by Captain Smith)

And now for my favourite part of the whole exhibit: the grand staircase. Visitors can take pictures here (by our staff) and get it printed for $25 or something. Of course media got their photos free!

Jason (museum marketing intern) dressed up as "jack" to represent the third class passengers in their bunks. I was with the media and omg I saw his iphone light peek out from underneath the pillow (spot that) and I hurriedly mimed to him to keep the phone HAHA it was hilarious and I loved how el jon and jason dressed up and gave life to the entire exhibit

The actual press con starting after the tour.. With Captain Smith starting the speech, followed by Tom, and then Q & A. Pretty smooth this one!

And then comes the best part of the entire event: FOOD. It was gooddddd, but for $50/pax  I felt it was pretty pricey. I remember food for Lady Gaga's press con was MUCH better, so I guess that could have easily been $80/$90 per pax. Oh well, we do have a budget, so we have to make do.

Waldorf salad stop, where the chef will mix your salad with the ingredients you chose. Still prefer caesar!!

Omg he's so cute hahaha we were all saying he looked more like a magician cause of the top hat (which he eventually changed) and I think he looks like Charlie Chaplin cause he went to BUY one of those stick thingys very much alike the one chaplin did? And when I told him, he mimed for me on the spot HAHA cutie

With Jason. He's quite cute la. Gia said he should wear the cap forever, cause he looks better in it. We met him the day before the press con when we were deciding who to put as third class passenger, and Sarina was SO satisfied with him. She told him not to bathe and shave HAHA so got the third class feel.

Woo caught Jon in an awkward expression. I always catch him doing the silliest stuff (walking into a door and then giggling at himself -__-)

Elzena with Val (my boss) and Sarina (a cutie pie with a Juicy Couture weakness), and all in stripes to match the nautical theme. The dress code was pretty successful actually! Most of the media turned up really well dressed.

Michelle, Gia and I. Michelle so cute, she said she had nothing to wear when Damien called her and told her dres code was nautical. In the end, she gave up and wore jeans. HAHAHA

With Erwan and Jerms. They thought I wanted somebody to take the photo for us but I was like "its ok, i can take for 3 of us, im quite good at it" and they were subdued MUAHAHA

And then they started to very elaborately talk about how I'm good at taking pictures cause I take them all the time (half truth) with erwan jumping around mimicking how girls take photos and jerms joining in the fun. Asses them, but they're awesome otherwise haha

With Ven, and a daydreaming erica. Erwan was sniggering in front of us when I took this, but when he looked at the photo I took he's like "shit you're good" yeah man of course I'm good.

Food!! There was also this vanilla ice cream I didn't really manage to take pictures of, but it was SO good. And it came with cherries with rum centres, and Tim quickly became a fan. I passed him all my cherries, and I think he helped himself to several servings. Haha guys and alcohol will always be together huh.

With Ross, LOML and sodamncuteicantbreathe. I was 0.o when he did the twist sign but he said "let's do it" and so here goes.

We don't always get to be the influential woman. Wonder what always pushes us to think we are, when we are only so ordinary.
