Stop wanting more

But it doesn't hurt to enjoy what you're given.

Talk of the town
Sunday, November 20, 2011

Once in a blue moon, I hear songs that are so powerful, they knock me out. Bruno Mars does this the most often. It's been looping for hours on end. My latest favourite song..

Talking To The Moon - Bruno Mars

I know you're somewhere out there
Somewhere far away
I want you back
I want you back
My neighbors think
I'm crazy
But they don't understand
You're all I have
You're all I have

At night when the stars
light up my room
I sit by myself

Talking to the Moon
Trying to get to You
In hopes you're on
the other side
Talking to me too
Or am I a fool
who sits alone
Talking to the moon

I'm feeling like I'm famous
The talk of the town
They say
I've gone mad
Yeah
I've gone mad
But they don't know
what I know

Cause when the
sun goes down
someone's talking back
Yeah
They're talking back

At night when the stars
light up my room
I sit by myself
Talking to the Moon
Trying to get to You
In hopes you're on
the other side
Talking to me too
Or am I a fool
who sits alone
Talking to the moon

Do you ever hear me calling?
Cause every night
I'm talking to the moon
Still trying to get to you

In hopes you're on
the other side
Talking to me too
Or am I a fool
who sits alone
Talking to the moon

I know you're somewhere out there
Somewhere far away
Thank God its Friday

As it is very evident, new blogskin, hurrah! Awesome because I was just starting to get tired of mine. I'm a fuss though, I hate the twitter and facebook plugins below every post so I'm trying to figure some way of deleting them but my hands seem to be tied because there is no html code for me to edit.

I was so exhausted yesterday night (as is everyday) that I knocked out halfway while fiddling with the laptop, making my slightly irritated just now at 7am, my phone uncharged, laptop out of battery, contacts still on and feeling disorientated.

The fucked up reason I'm up at 7am is because we have Up your service training today at 9am so I can't be late. It really puzzles me why the hell G and I have to attend these trainings because we're only interns, and it takes up so much my Friday.

On another note, IT'S FRIDAY! I am so thankful. Really need the weekend to recharge.

P.S. I typed this when I just woke up - can you see just how incoherent I am? Ha!!
Always

I can't remember how many times it's been, but I wish you were here with me. To take me away from the wreck, the chaos, to somewhere safe in your arms. Maybe I don't say it or show it enough, but anyday, anytime you want me, I'm yours.

If I could, I'd stand in front of you again, and tell you that I've been mostly happy this while - so I made true my promise to you. It isn't the same without you, but its okay.
Short Update

Its kind of sad to find out people are treating you well because they are inherently nice and kind, but only to find out that they were only that nice because they had a motive. Once its been made clear and the motive doesn't exist, all the niceties get taken away. Its not that I crave it, though. I rather have it this way, but its just disappointing how differently you would treat someone once you know you haven't got a chance.

Musings aside, work has been same old same old. Going into the second last month of work and starting to receive school letters asking for course registration has been incredibly depressing. Just when I got used to early mornings, late nights and office life! I'm also starting on planning and making gifts for everyone in my office + colleagues from other departments who have been kind/annoyingly cute. I dread the new interns coming in, us handing over the ropes and having to go back to Palau NTU. I'm hoping one of these days, I get some time to sit in RISE Lounge, get some tea and just people watch at the people in MBS. Guess where the tourists are from, what they're here for, and really take in all the things I see everyday. Its amazing, actually. I mean, I've hung out at the VIP lounge enough to hear some very difficult Paiza (VIP) guests screaming at the front desk staff about ridiculous nitty gritties and seen how they press on in an attempt to maintain composure and mitigate the situation. Yet, on TV, most of what we see is the gleaming, sparkling portions of our success. To be able to witness all the behind the scenes has been very amazing. I might go back to museum marketing to intern again next summer.. (fuelled by  both academic and personal reasons)
